How to Sign Out of Base 44
Signing out takes ten seconds and changes nothing about your app. It ends your login session on that device — your app keeps running, your data stays put, and your subscription keeps billing. The confusion starts because people expect signing out to be the off-ramp. It isn't.
On the web
Sign out of Base44 on the web
Go to base44.com and make sure you're logged in, then:
- Open your account menu. Click your profile picture or account icon — it's in one of the top corners of the page.
- Choose Sign out (it may say Log out). That's it. You'll land back on the logged-out homepage.
- Close the tab if you're on a shared computer. Signing out clears the session, but on a machine other people use, closing the browser removes any doubt.
If you signed in with Google instead of an email and password, signing out of Base44 does not sign you out of your Google account — those are separate sessions. Your Google account stays logged in wherever else it was.
On your phone
Sign out of Base44 on mobile
Base44 runs in the browser, so on your phone you're signing out of the mobile site — there isn't a separate sign-out buried in a native app:
- Open base44.com in your phone's browser (Safari, Chrome, whatever you normally use).
- Tap your profile or the menu icon to open your account options.
- Tap Sign out and confirm if it asks.
Signed in on both your phone and your laptop? Signing out on one doesn't sign you out on the other — each device holds its own session. If you want out everywhere at once, the reliable way is to change your Base44 password, which invalidates existing sessions. (Signed up with Google? You can also revoke Base44's access from your Google account's third-party access settings.)
What stays
What signing out doesn't do — your data stays
This is the part that trips people up, so let's be explicit. Signing out does not:
- Delete your app. It keeps running exactly as before — your users won't notice a thing.
- Delete your data. Every table, file, and user account stays right where it is.
- Cancel your subscription. Billing continues on schedule. Signing out is not an off-ramp from the bill.
- Delete your account. Your login, projects, and settings are all waiting when you sign back in.
If what you actually want is to leave Base44 — stop paying and take your app with you — signing out gets you nowhere. What you want is to cancel without losing your app: migrate first, cancel last. And if you're handing the app to someone else or just tidying up, our export guide covers what you can actually take with you.
Account friction
Signing out because something's wrong?
Most people who search for how to sign out of a platform aren't doing routine hygiene — they're locked out of a shared account, fighting a billing surprise, or can't get a straight answer from support. Signing out fixes none of that. It's worth naming what you're actually trying to do:
- Locked out or sharing one login? Change the password and set up proper access instead of passing a single login around.
- Surprised by the bill? Signing out doesn't pause billing — only canceling does, and canceling without a migration plan kills the app. Do it in the right order.
- Frustrated with the platform itself? No amount of signing in and out fixes lock-in. The fix is owning the infrastructure your app runs on — that's the whole idea behind OffRamp.

FAQ
Questions, answered honestly
Will signing out of Base44 delete my app or data?
No. Signing out only ends your login session on that device. Your app, your data, your subscription, and your billing are all untouched — sign straight back in and everything is exactly where you left it.
How do I sign out of Base44 on every device at once?
Change your Base44 password — that invalidates existing login sessions, so every device gets signed out. If you signed up with Google, you can also revoke Base44's access from your Google account's third-party access page.
What's the difference between signing out and canceling Base44?
Signing out just logs you out — the subscription keeps billing and the app keeps running. Canceling ends the subscription, which stops the app entirely. If you're trying to leave for good, read the safe cancellation order before you touch anything.
After you sign out: what happens to your app and data
Nothing — signing out only ends your login session. Your app keeps running, your data stays where it is, and your subscription keeps billing. That is exactly why signing out is not an exit plan: the moment you actually want to leave, you need the app and its data somewhere you control first.
Do it in this order: export your app and data while you still have full access, then migrate off Base44 onto infrastructure you own — and only then cancel, so nothing is left behind.
Leaving Base44 entirely? Don't just sign out.
Signing out logs you out. Canceling without a plan loses you the app. OffRamp rebuilds your whole project — database, users, files, functions — on Supabase, Vercel, and GitHub in your own accounts, so you can cancel with nothing left behind.
